How do I soften a linen/cotton duvet cover? - how to soften a duvet cover
I just changed my blanket in the mail, and the substance is made of cotton cloth. It's a bit too loud for my taste, and I want to make it softer. Are there any home remedies will do that? Softener, vinegar, wash several times? Any help will work. If there is no way to do it softer, I can only return it. Thank you!

"A lot of them and recommend laundering rather than dry cleaning for clothes, blankets and bedside is. (However, cleaning is recommended for cleaning linen curtains, cut because of the potential contraction in long pieces. Washing) is recommended because the clothing is washed again, are softer, more absorbent and more light. You may want to use hand or machine, but note the following:
* Be gentle when washing towels: Use a thin wash or wash your hands and use only a little mild soap. We would like Ivory Snow (powder), but some people swear by Woolite, some people like Orvum Quilt Soap (available in some shops ceiling, and a president and tack shops!) And some even prefer their shampoo. What ever you use, follow the instructions on the packaging. Location delicate, embroidered or be attached fringes and into a lingerie bag before putting them into the washing machine.
COOL * Use warm, not hot water. Color washing clothes with cold water. Fresh water is important: Hard water forms a soap scum, make clothes stiff and boring.
* Wash the stains when MonESH. Permissible if the institution, the stains can be permanent.
* The use of oxygen bleaches (hydrogen peroxide) for white clothes. Experiment to see how much is needed. Chlorine bleach can cause yellowing.
* Try one or two tablespoons of cream rinse hair in the last wash. Linen is cellulose fiber, and many swear it makes your clothes brighter.
* When washing hands, rinse well. Removing all traces of soap will prevent the large brown stains on the clothes, which are caused by oxidation of cellulose by residual soap.
As for the dryer .. I want to avoid, if possible, can reduce the tissue. It is best in a row in your garden, hanging, or if this is not an option. hanging in the bar, shower door.
Well, I do not want to bore you with another copy / paste ....
Something to remember is that the newer agents a "size" to protect it from dirt, moisture protection, etc. The size also helps the process of obtaining your new theme of "fresh" look and feel.
These must be removed. A regular wash everything that is necessary. I suggest you a laundry detergent made especially for sensitive products (Woolite or Delicare, etc.) with fresh water or cold water and gentle cycle ... then add a cup or less of distilled white vinegar to rinse. Vinegar is a natural fabric softener ... They should not be any liquid fabric softener.
Make sure the item fully understood, then hang to dry or dry on low heat for reading (washing instructions ... cotton and linen are natural fibers and could be reduced ..., which method is recommended here).
The bed linen is soft, you too.
I return it and get 100% cotton. Flax is a little steep.
