Just bought mxl 990 condenser mic. PHANTOM POWER? - i mxl 990 do i need phantom power
I think I understand what phantom power is under investigation, but what exactly do I need to do to get this mic up and running?
A preamp $ 30 will solve this problem?, Can not use a guitar amp?, Computer program?

Most mixers that the source of the global or individual channel phantom power for condenser microphones that need it. Phantom power on board are generally available and inexpensive. Most computer sound cards microphone and outboard engines available phantom power and give some control of tone and possibly reverse the polarity. No guitar amplifier.
